This topic explains how to add columns for each appraiser's scores to the Detail score sheet for a Team Challenge or an Instant Challenge. It also tells how to move and delete the columns, and how to specify the elements that each appraiser scores.
This task is necessary only when you are using the Detail score sheet and are typing each appraiser's score into the scoring program, rather than entering a manually calculated average of the appraisers' scores. This task is designed for tournaments using the Site-centered scoring strategy, the Detail scoring strategy, or a variant.

You can only add appraisers to a Detail score sheet. If you are using a different score sheet, the Edit Appraisers menu item and toolbar button are dimmed. |
All computers scoring a challenge level must have the same appraiser list. Otherwise, you will not be able to check scores or merge scores accurately. |

The Detail Score Sheet |
Appraiser data must be identical on all computers used to enter scores for the challenge level. If the appraiser data varies - including spelling of names or use of nicknames in one place but not another, you will not be able to check scores or merge scores accurately.
To make this task easier, the appraiser data is stored in the challenge level XML files in the tournament directory, for example, BUILT_ML.xml. When you copy the tournament directory to other computers in the tournament, the appraiser data is automatically included.
However, if you change the appraiser data, you must make sure that the changes are copied to all affected computers. There are several ways to do this.
While this is the best method, it is not necessary and may not be practical for large tournaments with unconnected computers distributed across a large area. Also, do not replace the tournament directory after scores have been entered.
This method is appropriate when you've changed the appraiser data for a particular challenge level before any scores are entered. Remember to copy the new directory to all computers scoring the challenge level.
This method is appropriate when you've changed the appraiser data for a particular challenge level before any scores are entered. Use this method only if you feel comfortable manipulating the challenge level files. Remember to copy the new directory to all computers scoring the challenge level.
Although this method is error prone, it is probably the safest method to use if scores have already been entered. For example, if an appraiser must be deleted, you should delete the appraiser from all computers in which their scores have been entered.
