Change a Team's Status

The status of a team tells DI Scoring Program whether it should expect scores for the team and, if the team is not scored, it tells the tournament staff why. The status gives us an alternative to deleting teams from the tournament, it gives the teams a chance to change their minds about competing (repeatedly, if necessary), and it lets us follow up on teams that didn't arrive.

When you change a team's status to a value other than OK, the DI Scoring Program marks the team's challenges as complete (TC Done and IC Done) so you don't wait for scores that are not coming. If you change the status back to OK, the challenges are marked as incomplete until the scores arrive. You can change a team's status at any time.

Tip!
To record comments about a team's status, use the Track Issues feature.

To change a team's status:

  1. Open the team's current challenge level window or the All Teams Window.

  2. Click anywhere in the team's row to select it.

  3. If you're using the challenge level window, click on the Modify Team icon, use the keystroke shortcut Ctrl+M, or pull down the Edit menu and select Modify Team - to open the Team Editor window.

  4. If you're using the All Teams window, click on the Modify icon, use the keystroke shortcut Ctrl+M, or pull down the Scoring menu and select Modify Team - to open the Team Editor window.

  5. From the Status drop down list, select the new status.

  6. Click on Modify to finalize your changes, Revert to return to the original values, or Close to close the Team Editor without making any changes.
