Compare the Check Digits

After you enter scores, look at the check digits at the bottom of the score sheet.

The check digits represent all of the data entered on the score sheet, including the membership name and team number, and all of the scores. In the Detailed score sheet with Appraisers, additional check digits appear at the bottom of each appraiser's column, representing all of the data in that column.

Compare the check digits on your score sheet with the check digits on the same score sheet on the other computer. You can do this by recording the check digits on the corresponding paper form or other source document, or by telling them to the other data entry person.

By using this method, you can catch errors before the end of the tournament.
