Uninstall the DI Scoring Program
Use the procedures described in this section to delete the scoring program and all of the tournament files from the computers that you used for your tournament. This "cleans" borrowed computers so that you can return them to their owners unaffected.
Caution! |
Be sure that you have saved the tournament directory on another computer or on external media before deleting the tournament directory. |

To Uninstall from a Windows Computer (Regular installation)
- Click Start, click All Programs (or Programs), and then click the DI Scoring <year> folder.
- Click Uninstall.
This program deletes the files that the DI Scoring Program installed. It does not delete the tournament directory, the Web page files, or any files that you created while using the program.
- Delete related files manually:
- Delete the DI Scoring Program desktop shortcut (if added).
- Delete the DI Scoring Program start menu item (if added).
- Delete the installation program executable file (if you saved it).
- Delete the DIPrefs.xml file.
The DIPrefs.xml is installed in the %USERPROFILE% directory, which is one level up from the Documents or My Documents folder. This is typically the C:\Users\<UserName> or the C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName> directory.
If you cannot find the file, click the Start menu, (click Run if you have it), and in the search box, type: %USERPROFILE%. This opens the directory that contains the DIPrefs.xml file.
- Delete the C:\DI Programs installation folder and its contents, including the tournament directory and any test or sample directories that you might have created.
To Uninstall from a Windows Computer (Green installation)
The green installation does not include an Uninstall program. However, the manual steps are very quick and easy.
